As a charity we are proud of our Christian ethos. The projects we run are inspired by our faith, however they are not faith-biased, and are designed to serve all sections of the community.
Rahab does not exist to ‘fix’ people, we are instead here to serve. We achieve this by offering befriending, support, and advocacy; we seek to open up opportunities and restore all hope and belief. Motivated by compassion, we recognise the inherent value of every individual.
“We love because He first loved us.” – 1 John 4:19
Jesus loved the marginalised and the misunderstood. He spent time with people who were excluded from society and He created opportunities for change. All of our volunteers and staff aim to follow Jesus’ example, seeking to reflect that inclusive nature and compassion to those we serve as we recognise each person’s value.
The women we meet are intelligent, interesting, and appreciate interacting with us. For us being able to share in conversation with them, in a world where they are often thought of as objects, is a God-given opportunity to share His grace.
